Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship may be going strong, but that doesn’t mean the 12-time Grammy Award-winning artist and the two-time Super Bowl-winning NFL star are planning a trip down the aisle in the near future, according to a source.
“There are no plans for an engagement anytime soon,” the source exclusively told The Messenger amid rumors that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end was planning on popping the question to the Midnights singer. “There is no engagement at this time.”
The Messenger has reached out to reps for both Swift and Kelce.
Swift — who recently celebrated her 34th birthday on Dec. 13 — was in attendance at the Chiefs-Patriots game on Sunday along with her dad, Scott Swift, and a few famous friends, including Alana Haim of the sister pop-rock trio Haim, stylist and designer Ashley Avignone and Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
The game marked the seventh matchup that Swift has attended since she and the New Heights podcaster took their relationship public.
Earlier this month, Swift was named Time Magazine’s Person of the Year and revealed that her relationship with the two-time Super Bowl champion began soon after he “put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell.” The podcast episode came out in July.
“We actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew,” she told Time, “which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.”
A source told The Messenger last month that the couple’s romance isn’t just a fling and that things are “serious between Taylor and Travis.”
“When they are not together, they are constantly FaceTiming and texting. Friends around them think it is very cute and they are a great match,” the insider revealed. “Taylor is having a lot of fun with the wives and girlfriends in the league. Brittany Mahomes has welcomed her with open arms and has really been the ring leader merging Taylor, her friends and the girl groups together.”
The source added, “It is a new era for Taylor, and she is loving this season of her life. It is very different from her normal group of friends but they have all been having a great time going to the games and bonding together. Taylor has really had an open mind to this new world, and the girls think she’s really enjoyable to be around.”
