KANSAS CITY, Mo. —
Patrick Mahomes loves shoes almost as much as throwing touchdowns.
Mahomes, the Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback and NFL MVP, says he owns around 180 pairs of shoes, and they’re an important part of his life.
Mahomes showcased the recently renovated shoe closet in his new home in a video released by Bleacher Report on Monday.
“That has been something that I’ve wanted for the last six, seven years at least,” Mahomes says in the video. “When you don’t have enough room, I feel like you lose the value of some of your shoes. Some of the shoes that you’ve worn once, you forget about cuz you don’t see ‘em.
“So, I wanted that shoe room to highlight that.”
Mahomes says his shoes are the most valuable things in the house. He said he has a security camera in case his little brother gets any ideas about taking shoes while he’s visiting.
