China has officially called on the United States to immediately release Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, after U.S. forces reportedly captured them during military strikes in Venezuela. 

Beijing says the forcible seizure violates international law, basic norms of international relations, and the United Nations Charter, and that such actions thr£athen peace and security in Latin America and the Caribbean. 

China has expressed grave concern over the situation, insisting Washington must ensure Maduro’s safety, stop attempts to topple the Venezuelan government, and pursue resolution through dialogue and negotiation—not force. 

According to China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the U.S. action undermines national sovereignty and global stability, and should be handled diplomatically. 

🌍 Other countries, including Russia and several Latin American governments, have also condemned the U.S. strikes and echoed calls for Maduro’s release. 

China brands U.S. action a violation of global norms.
